The IAC supports and collaborates closely with testing standards organizations to refine existing test methods, develop new methods, and also advocate for the adoption of newer standardized test methods that have been rigorously validated to demonstrate accurate, reproducible testing data and correlation to real-world performance.
Microbiological Testing
The IAC uses standard test methods and modified test methods to meet the needs of members and customers, ensuring that the testing correlates to the conditions that their treated products will be exposed to in the real world. The objective is to provide modified standard test methods that are fit-for-purpose and that will quickly, accurately and reproducibly measure the performance of a technology on the treated article.
Odor Adsorption Testing
The IAC conducts standard, modified, and developing fit-for-purpose test methods tailored to the specific needs of various industries. We ensure that these methods accurately simulate real-world conditions and odors that treated products will face. By developing precise and relevant testing protocols, we validate the effectiveness of non-biocidal odor adsorption technologies and the associated claims.
Actionable Test Reports
When testing treated articles for performance, the IAC delivers comprehensive and actionable reports to its customers. In many cases this may require a significant amount of information about the treated product that includes the application method, active ingredient(s), fabric composition, fabric construction, consumer claims, and other chemical treatments on the treated article.
